Self-Portrait in clay

One of my most treasured creations, this sculpture holds a special significance for me. Despite its lack of any resemblance, it is not titled “Self-Portrait” due to visual similarity. Instead, the title is an ode to its meaning. I have always felt a sense of responsibility to work to live, for better or worse. As time goes by, I find that this particular sculpture resonates with me more and more. The child emerging from the adult figure, whether intentional or not, reflects my personal experience of navigating the responsibilities of adulthood while still retaining a childlike wonder and wonder. After a long day at work, one of my greatest joys is returning home and viewing this sculpture, which serves as a reminder to shed the weight of adult responsibilities and embrace my inner child.

I should add that this, as well as all new entries, will be further visible in my gallery.
